For employees to be happy they need to feel BAM — belonging, affirmation, and meaning. When your people feel like they belong and have meaning in what they are doing, your culture will become successful. When employees are happy, your business will thrive.
Another way to achieve a successful work culture is through company core values. Core values are more than words. You must live by them for them to have an affect on your people. As a leader, you set the example. Everyone looks up to you for direction and purpose.
Your employees need to feel appreciated when they come into work. They also need to align with the company values and believe in them. I built my company on the foundation of our values, we lived and breathed them on a daily basis. As a result, I had a low turnover rate and employees that were driven to perform at their best.
