Company perks are a bonus that most employees love to have at work. However, ping pong tables and candy bars aren’t the solution to fix toxic cultures. Perks are an easy way to try and up morale or bring something new to the office, but adding perks to your office will not fix underlying issues of culture.
Employers often want to overlook the real issue when it comes to their culture. They’re looking for solutions to why production has slowed down or the quality isn’t there anymore. They think adding food in the kitchen or drinks in the fridge will make their employees happier and boost productivity.
That’s simply not true.
